As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within theConsumer and Community Branch workplace technology team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Partners and collaborates with product architecture security and operations teams prioritize reliability and embed best practices across the software development lifecycle to improve operations across the Branch Products.
- Lead and develop resilient software solutions that improve reliability scalability and system performance of the Branch Systems.
- Leads evaluation sessions with external and internal teams to outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
- Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software development concepts and 5 years applied experienceSRE/DevOps platform engineer or similar
- Proficiency in operating and managing cloud-based services using IaC or EaC (infrastructure as code environment as code Terraform or similar) in AWS
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
- Proficient in utilizing observability tooling Splunk Dynatrace Grafana Datadog etc.
- Advanced in programming in Java and Python technologies
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods/patterns
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)
- Fluent in English
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- AWS Certifications ( Architect Associate)
- Experienced in SRE/DevOps practices (SLA/SLOs error budgets MTTR MTTD).
- Knowledge of RAG architectures and Exposure to AI/Automation technologies that improve operations.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
