The Resource Recovery Center of Orange County is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to those suffering from Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders. Substance Use Disorders are chronic illnesses and treatment provided is based upon the presenting needs of the individual. Our goal is to help individuals and families begin the physical emotional and spiritual healing process by utilizing compassionate encouraging and evidence-based practices. We ultimately strive to guide individuals and their families towards a goal of living life to its full potential-free from addiction.

Job Summary:

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the technological infrastructure of the organization ensuring systems are secure reliable and optimized to meet current and future business needs. Provides support education and training to the entire organization on a variety of hardware software and networking issues as required.

This role manages IT staff coordinates technology projects ensures cybersecurity standards and provides strategic guidance to improve overall IT performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of IT department including network server and systems administration.

  • Ensure timely responses to requests for technical support and assistance.

  • Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.

  • Manage and support all IT infrastructure and software applications.

  • Maintain an inventory of all IT assets and ensure proper lifecycle management.

  • Coordinate management information systems telephone systems telecommunications systems and other automated systems of RRCOOC.

  • Lead IT projects from inception to completion ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Utilize project management skills in the planning coordination and scheduling of all system upgrades and enhancements.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to improve efficiency and security.

  • Ensure data integrity security and backup systems are in place and functioning properly.

  • Lead the selection and deployment of security solutions such as firewalls encryption and intrusion detection systems.

  • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize disruptions.

  • Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

  • Establish monitor and respond to security events including coordinating incident response efforts and ensuring continuous improvements.

  • Ensure that security cameras are functioning. Trouble shoot and resolve malfunctions of security cameras.

  • Maintain updates on hardware/software camera systems.

  • Secure camera footage pertaining to incidents at the facility.

  • Develop and enforce IT policies procedures and best practices.

  • Negotiate and manage relationships with vendors consultants and service providers.

  • Serve as member of the Management Team.

  • Complete the annual internal and external HIPAA security audit.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology strategies with business needs.

  • Collaborate with other departments to understand technology needs and deliver effective solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws regulations and best practices in cybersecurity.

  • Onboard new staff members.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor IT staff including hiring training and performance evaluations.

  • Assign tasks set goals and ensure accountability within the team.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

  • Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g. PMP CompTIA Cisco Microsoft ITIL) is a plus.

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in IT with at least 2 years in management or leadership role.

  • Healthcare facility or setting/environment experience preferred.

  • Proven experience in managing networks systems and IT projects.

  • Knowledge of security cameras.

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity cloud computing and enterprise software systems.

Working Conditions:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Primarily office-based with occasional off-hours work for upgrades or emergencies.

  • On-call after hours problem solving on site and remote.

  • Normal working conditions.

  • Long periods sitting.

  • Long periods looking at computer screen.
