Family Centered Treatment-Recovery Practitioner
Location: Hot Springs Outpatient Hot Springs AR
Hours: Vary. Must be willing to work flexible hours (both 1st shift and 2nd shift and some weekends)
JOB SUMMARY
To serve as a MHP service extender; assess the needs and facilitate the treatment of clients and their families; identifying potential barriers to short and long term recovery; acknowledges in writing that all substance abuse counselor and qualified behavioral health provider services are controlled by client care plans and provided under the direct supervision of the Director and supervision of a mental health professional (MHP).
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily in a timely manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. As a Substance Abuse Counselor will complete QBHP training and must conform to the requirements for MHP supervision so as to work in an agency under MHP supervision. Must be knowledgeable of Electronic Health Record systems. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects analytical and problem-solving skills; and customer service skills. Must have knowledge of state rules and regulations; excellent time management communication and organizational skills.
Education and/or Experience
Certified or licensed in the state of Arkansas as Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor Licensed Associate Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist or registered with the Arkansas Substance Abuse Certification Board (ASACB) as a Counselor in Training.

Job Duties (FCT-R Practitioners)
- The FCT-R Practitioner will maintain a caseload of an average of five clients for whom they will provide therapeutic services with an average of six hours per week spent with each client family
- Develop short- and long-term family goals with measurable outcomes
- Attend and participate in Child & Family Team Meetings as requested by the Department of Child Services and Probation and other duties if requested or subpoenaed
- Provide thorough documentation including treatment plans progress notes monthly reports and assessments
- Complete training and make consistent progress toward achieving certification from the Family Centered Treatment Foundation (FCTF). In addition to online-based training and required readings the certification process requires videotaped demonstration of competencies in the field with real clients
- Once certified the FCT Practitioner will complete all activities necessary to maintain certification from FCTF
- Provide Family Center Treatment to all families and guide them through the four phases of treatment in a timely manner
- Complete and maintain all program fidelity documents in a timely manner
- Work a schedule that is flexible and able to meet the needs of each family they serve. This will often require meeting in the evenings and sometimes on the weekend.
- May assist/complete other projects/duties as requested by members of management
- Other duties as assigned
If not certified or licensed the completion of training in behavioral health services provision from a licensed medical person experienced in the area of behavioral health or a certified Behavioral Agency is required before providing care to Medicaid beneficiaries.
If not certified or licensed must complete an initial -40- hour classroom training to obtain a QBHP certificate. Ongoing training will consist of at least eight hours of training each 12 month period. The training may in part be conducted in the field. Documentation of in-service hours will be maintained in the employees personnel file and will be available for inspection by regulatory agencies.
Per insurance all employees must be 21 years of age and have a valid drivers license.
