Job Description
This position is responsible for organizing and overseeing the preventive maintenance programs for the water sewer and storm water pipes and structures throughout the Department of Water Resources systems. This position will Manage the preventive maintenance group of Field Operations including overseeing the management of the asset inspection data for the purposes of preparing or enhancing maintenance programs. Review and enhance asset assessment and preventive maintenance programs.

Essential Duties
  • Oversee the management of the asset inspection data for the purposes of preparing or enhancing maintenance programs
  • Perform analyses of data for operational support and monthly and annual reporting.
  • Supervise staff to optimize and prioritize assessment inspection and maintenance activities
  • Oversee the programmatic scheduling of crews and equipment prepare budgets and reports and specify equipment and vehicles.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for annual reports audits and monthly operational summaries
  • Coordinate with other leaders and staff to assure effective and efficient support of Departmental and County goals
  • Coordinate between field operation teams and contracted employees to assure responsiveness and adequacy of assessment and maintenance programs
  • Ensure divisional commitments to residents and the development community are upheld about productivity and schedules managing on-call and emergency or after-hours repair efforts.
Other Job Requirements/Information
  • This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours weekends and/or holidays.
Grade
The grade for this position is 108. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023 this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a closely related field; AND
  • Eight years of progressively responsible experience related to utility management assessment and maintenance including two years experience as a manager; OR
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
  • Valid Drivers License from state of residency.
Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications
  • Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Experience performing or evaluating valve or hydrant exercising assessments
  • Experience with gravity sewer and sewer force main assessment and/or the NASSCO PACP rating system
