As the Head Chef you will:
- Coordinate operational activities including menu development and design food consumption estimates food requisition and preparation quality consistency presentation techniques and quality standards to meet customer needs.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health and food safety compliance and regulations. Maintain thorough and accurate records.
- Contribute relevant information to support reporting including income tracking forecasting targets and outcomes where required.
- Ensure a safe working environment for staff compliance with the requirements of all relevant Occupational Health and Safety Occupational Hygiene food handling and personal safety standards.
- Support the design and delivery of food quality and service that meets or exceeds expectations. Offer ideas aligned with market trends to help improve existing processes and practices.
To be successful youll have:
- A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
- Understanding of food safety regulations.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires the incumbent to work outside business hours.
- This position is a flexible ordinary hours span position which offers additional loadings to salary as per clause 43.3 of Deakins Enterprise Agreement.
- This position requires the incumbent to hold a current Working with Children Check.
