Job Summary

AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Philadelphia PA.

Job details:

  • Provide technical leadership to teams working on medium to large scale transportation projects
  • Develop design criteria horizontal and vertical alignments superelevation barrier/guiderail design and spot elevation details
  • Develop rigid and flexible pavement designs
  • Prepare signing and pavement marking plans and details
  • Prepare construction phasing plans and develop maintenance of traffic based on interdisciplinary coordination and constructability reviews
  • Identify utility conflicts and coordinate resolutions based on interdisciplinary constructability reviews client feedback and utility needs
  • Develop construction specifications quantities and cost estimates
  • Implement 3D CADD modeling techniques
  • Develop technical reports tables and graphics per client and/or internal AECOM standards
  • Adhere to and promote AECOM quality procedures
  • Complete interdisciplinary technical reviews
  • Contribute to internal project-related staffing decisions to facilitate meeting client schedule scope and budget
  • Prepare presentations that explain technical findings recommendations and limitations
  • Work collaboratively as part of a larger design team to proactively meet the clients scope budget and schedule through ethical and responsible decision making
  • Provide support to AECOM project managers and department managers
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week

Qualifications :

Candidates must have a Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study and 3 years experience as Design Engineer Civil Engineer Transportation Engineer or related occupation.

Alternatively employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study and 5 years of experience in a related occupation.

The position requires:

  1. Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain the license within one year of employment.
  2. Experience in the following: OpenRoads Designer; AutoTURN; AASHTO PROWAG and HCM Manuals; Bluebeam; AutoCAD; AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation; HEC-RAS; HCS; ArcGIS; and GEOPAK.
