Job Brief
The role will be responsible for supporting end-to-end project accounting life cycle activities for assigned accounts and projects. The role will be involved with stakeholder coordination to execute processes that will drive the completion of assigned projects. The role is also responsible for reviewing reports and providing guidance to other members.
Responsibilities & Duties
Perform highly complex tasks that support multiple and varied projects in compliance with the contract service level agreement define methodologies and procedures
Provide support for complex and/or large-scale projects
Performs project reviews and provides guidance to junior members of the team
Review project financials for accurate revenue recognition
Perform in-depth project analysis and provide recommendations based on findings
Researches GL account reconciliations cash and AR adjustments
Reviews project financial status and presents in project reviews
Provide analysis resolutions and recommendations for highly complex process improvements and technical issues through existing technical procedures and methodologies
Support the Team Lead/Manager in handling escalations and managing disputes related to project financials
Review and provide insights on the SOP/DTP of current processes and the incorporated documentation updates
Acts as the point of contact in audit-related activities and prepare audit responses
Support and train junior members of the team in addressing complex issues
Maybe involve in contract commercial reviews and project proposals
Reviews proposed alternatives in identified issues and assist in investigating and in resolving common and unusual issues
Contribute specialized expertise to different assigned projects and may provide key updates to Team Lead and Manage
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
Amenable for night shift (9PM to 6AM)
Okay with hybrid set-up (2-3x per week RTO)
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent relevant courses
5-8 years of relevant experience in Project Accounting
Knowledge and understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle project accounting concepts & methodology and contract types.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools & MS Teams application
Experience in a shared service or captive set-up is an advantage.
Experience working with ERP e.i. Oracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage or other similar platforms and tools
