This position is fully based in Montreal.
We are actively seeking candidates currently located in Europe who are open to relocating to Canada.
We are looking for a Safety Engineer for Advanced Vehicle systems to support the design analysis and validation of safety-critical automotive features. The role focuses on ensuring functional safety and system robustness for advanced vehicle subsystems (ADAS E/E architecture actuators sensors).
Responsibilities :
- Conduct functional safety analyses (FMEA STPA SOTIF) for advanced vehicle systems.
- Support system design verification and validation activities to ensure safety compliance.
- Collaborate with software electrical and vehicle subsystem teams to integrate safety requirements.
- Develop and maintain safety documentation: requirements hazard analyses verification evidence.
- Identify and mitigate potential failure modes in advanced vehicle components.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters in Electrical/Computer Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with functional safety in automotive systems (ISO 26262 ISO 21448).
- Familiarity with ADAS or advanced vehicle subsystems.
- Practical knowledge of FMEA STPA or SOTIF methods.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
