For our site in Chalon-sur-Saône a production facility specializing in high-quality glass bottles we are looking for an experienced EHS Manager.
In this role you will report directly to the Site Manager and work closely with the EHS leadership of the Tubular Glass Europe and Asia Division.
You will be responsible for steering all environmental health and safety activities on site and ensuring full compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Monitor and analyze workplace prevention and protection aspects to develop effective preventive measures. Investigate and analyze incidents and accidents to identify root causes and propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of safety guidelines and policies. Develop and implement fire prevention measures.
- Communicate EHS-related information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare analysis reports including assessments findings and recommendations. Lead and manage EHS audits related processes and ensure achievement of expected results.
- Ensure the health safety and environmental management system complies with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and maintain system integrity during organizational changes.
- Develop audit plans and confirm all audit requirements (e.g. PPE resources documentation).
- Monitor process performance and track progress against EHS objectives. Assess occupational risks and propose strategies to improve working conditions and overall safety performance.
- Participate actively in the CSSSCT (Health Safety and Working Conditions Committee).
Qualifications :
- Technically trained engineer (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent qualification
- Proficient in MS Office; very good English and French skills
- Professional demeanor integrity and reliability
- Structured careful and forward-looking work approach
- Strong quality safety and productivity awareness
- Team-oriented yet able to work independently
- Initiative flexibility and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Clear and effective communication
- Ability to supervise and guide staff
- High motivation and commitment
- Strong sense of order and cleanliness; role model in 5S GMP GMS QM and compliance
