As a Product Manager at The Stepstone Group youll collaborate closely with other Product Managers Product Directors Designers Researchers Data Scientists and Analysts and in partnership with our Software Engineering teams deliver products that contribute significantly to our company mission: make successful hires happen.
You will be part of a team that has a user first approach and consequently work effectively within a Product organisation that has a high degree of user obsession with a discovery led approach for building better products.Youll be expected to actively prototype and experiment with AI-powered solutions to validate hypotheses and accelerate product development.

Your responsibilities:
- Product vision:Drive the vision of your products and understand how it is embedded in the overall product and corporate strategywith particular focus on identifying opportunities that can transform user experiences and create competitive advantages.
- Ownership:Own the prioritisation of your backlog the discovery of strategic opportunities enabling and empowering your team by creating product roadmaps and deliver consistently with a can do attitude within a context of high alignment and high autonomy.Rapidly prototype AI-enabled features using available tools and platforms to test concepts before full development.
- Stakeholder management:This job is an individual contributor role. You will need to be able to influence your teammates as well as colleagues stakeholders customers and key executives through your use of data and thought process.
- Communication: proactively drive your communication flow updates etc about the status of the development and initiatives to partners and main stakeholders offering transparency; enthusiastically communicate on your achievements and the product able to finetune the content of your comms to audiences with various degrees of technical skill or of seniority.
Qualifications :
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative or technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
- Proven experience of product incubation incrementally building and scaling up high traffic products.
- 2 years working on technology-powered products as a Product Manager.
- Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business e.g marketing engineering design finance sales etc.
- Business fluent German language is essential
AI-Specific Requirements:
We are looking for Product Managers that are also Product Builders: you have hands-on experience building user experience- or data- product prototypes using AI-enabled tools. You are proficient in at least one of the following areas:
- User-centric AI: hands-on experience with prototyping user experiences using platforms like Figma Lovable or similar. Comfortable with prompt engineering and AI workflow design.
- AI assisted coding: experience with prototyping backend data products via assisted code writing using agents or integrations like Claude Code Cursor Copilot etc. For example you vibe-coded your own AI agents.
- AI foundational knowledge: Good understanding of machine learning concepts model training AI/ML cloud infrastructure and experience working with data science teams on AI product R&D.
