We are currently offering an exciting fixed term (Until end of December 2027) opportunity for a highly self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Financial Accountant in our Global Shared Services team reporting to the Finance Manager (Oceania). This role is based at our headquarters in Clayton Victoria with some flexibility for remote working arrangements.
Key accountabilities include:
- Supporting the month and year end closing activities (Group & Statutory)
- Preparation and analysis of quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Supporting the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
- Preparing the annual risk assessments in accordance with the Central Directives (CDs) applicable for finance.
- Supporting the preparation and review of the site-specific local policies in accordance with the finance CDs and annual review in line with defined timeline of CD.
Qualifications :
The role is suited to a qualified accountant that has either completed or nearly completed their CPA or CA studies. The successful candidate will be an engaged team player with a proactive approach to their work and someone who can communicate effectively with all areas of the business (local & overseas).
The candidate will possess:
- Bachelors degree in accounting/finance.
- CPA/CA qualification or currently enrolled in a CPA/CA.
- Experience in large multinational companies is highly regarded but not essential.
- A high attention to detail accuracy and documentation.
- A proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite with advanced MS Excel skills.
- SAP experience is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills.
- The ability to manage and prioritise strict deadlines.
- The ability to initiate continuous improvement activities to increase efficiency of the department.
- An adherence to policies and procedures related to compliance.
- Strong analytical skills
