Job Summary
Oaks Melbourne St Kilda Road are looking for a part-time Cook who is passionate about creating delicious meals and delivering a high standard of food service to join the team.
As a Cook you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen. Youll prepare and cook a range of dishes to a consistently high standard maintain a clean and organised workspace and work collaboratively with the team to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.
- Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
- Ensure great presentation of meals before service.
- Maintain proper food storage safety and hygiene standards.
- Keep the kitchen clean organised and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Shift Details (subject to change):
- Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
- Shift times scheduled across breakfast lunch and dinner periods
- Immediate start available
Hourly rates (excluding super):
Monday - Friday: $25.85 per hour
Saturday: $32.31 per hour
Sunday: $38.78 per hour
Qualifications :
To be successful you will have:
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role.
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A positive proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts including weekends and public holidays.
