Job Summary

Project Officer (Junior Level Blood Borne Viruses and Sexual & Reproductive Health Education)

About You

ASHM is a not-for-profit company seeking a junior-level Project Officer to support our health education course delivery training and project support.

You may be a recent graduate or early-career professional with an interest in health education for the workforce in blood-borne viruses hepatitis and/or sexual and reproductive health. Ideally youll bring experience in project administration or coordination (rather than clinical practice or research).

Youre organised adaptable and eager to learn with a genuine interest in improving health outcomes and supporting the health workforce.

This role suits someone who enjoys coordinating tasks supporting online and face-to-face course delivery and assisting with project execution in a collaborative fast-paced environment. Youll be part of a supportive not-for-profit that values inclusivity integrity and continuous learning.

Location: Sydney Melbourne or Brisbane

Employment status: Full-time Fixed-term (12 months contract)

Salary: 60000 to 63000 super salary packaging.

Salary based on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate national healthcare education programs events workshops and webinars
  • Engage with clinicians trainers and stakeholders to support program delivery and development
  • Provide secretariat and logistical support to committees and working/reference groups
  • Develop and update educational content
  • Contribute to national guideline drafting and development
  • Submit and manage accreditation and endorsement of courses resources and related materials through relevant professional bodies and peak organisations.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure on-time delivery within scope
  • Support program planning implementation and evaluation for continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) in health education business or related fields.
  • Experience in project coordination ideally in public or sexual health (BBV/STI sector desirable).
  • Experience developing and delivering education programs including online content (desirable).
  • Understanding of HIV viral hepatitis STIs and key public health principles.
  • Familiarity with not-for-profit government or NGO settings.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong project coordination organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to deliver education programs aligned with adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Skilled in collaboration problem-solving and managing multiple projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project/learning management systems.
  • Committed to ethical inclusive and culturally responsive practice aligned with ASHM values.
