Title: Instructor Computer Information Technology 9/10 Month (Term)
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in computer information technology including a variety of computer programming languages.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach computer science courses via on-ground day and evening hybrid virtual or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Utilize the Colleges learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class. Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend.
Complete all required reports such as student engagement Early Alerts progress reports grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Set and honor scheduled office hours for student conferences. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Work with students as academic advisor as assigned. Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree in Computer Science or Masters degree with 18 graduate hours in Computer Science or closely related field
Experience with at least two of the following software languages: C# C HTML5/CSS Java JavaScript SQL or Python
Experience with at least one of the following software programs: Access Oracle Power BI Visual Studio or SQL Server.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
College level teaching experience
Experience with three or more of the following software languages: C# C HTML5/CSS Java JavaScript SQL or Python
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty staff and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated understanding of the community college mission and needs of the student population.

Rate of Pay: $45680.00 - $57100.00 depending on experience
