Our client is an established and rapidly growing financial services organisation with an international presence. With a strong focus on people culture and long-term development they are expanding their compliance function and seeking a skilled Senior Compliance Analyst who specialises in transaction monitoring and EU or UK regulatory frameworks.

The successful candidate will focus on ensuring full adherence to EU and UK regulatory requirements for transaction monitoring. This includes maintaining compliance frameworks identifying and escalating suspicious activity supporting risk reporting and contributing to department-wide development. The role involves close collaboration with senior leadership and requires strong technical and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Compliance Analyst - Transaction Monitoring your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Review corporate clients to assess AML and fraud risk.
- Monitor client transactions in line with the internal Monitoring Policy.
- Review incoming outgoing and internal payments to confirm rationale.
- Use various compliance systems and platforms to optimise workflow.
- Identify suspicious activity and follow internal reporting procedures.
- Support the delivery of compliance projects with a practical and business focused approach.
- Stay up to date through ongoing learning and professional reading.
- Provide timely responses to internal business units.
- Analyse multi party payment flows and document the related control framework.
- Develop and enhance the transaction monitoring programme including mass payment monitoring capabilities.
- Produce MI and reporting to support risk assessment.
- Assist with compliance training for new team members.
- Work closely with the Head of Transaction Monitoring to identify emerging issues.
- Ensure operational alignment with agreed parameters set with external stakeholders.
- Maintain and develop expertise in compliance AML fraud and financial crime.
- Support the Head of Transaction Monitoring with regulatory guidance and advice.
- Act as an escalation point for junior team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Business or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACAMS or CFE are an advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar compliance or transaction monitoring role ideally within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of EU and UK regulatory frameworks including AML directives Funds Transfer Regulation and other relevant legislation.
- Familiarity with transaction monitoring systems and the ability to use technology to support effective monitoring.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify patterns.
- Sound judgement problem solving ability and confidence in making recommendations aligned with regulatory requirements.
