Job Summary:
The CT Technician will be responsible for performing CT scans on patients in an acute care hospital setting. This includes patient positioning image acquisition and ensuring patient safety. The technician may need to float between similar units and will work rotating weekends.
Location:Santa Rosa California United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans according to established protocols.
- Position patients for optimal imaging.
- Acquire and process images.
- Ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Document patient information and procedures accurately.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Performs data entry into electronic medical database systems. Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Performs selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Performs any other related duties (e.g. clerical technical duties) as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification
- Venipuncture certification
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- N/A
Special Considerations:
- Must be able to float between like units.
- Facility is able to call off once per two week pay period.
Scheduling:
- Rotating weekends required.
- Block schedules are accommodated per manager discretion.
