Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Moving & Handling Services
Location:Blackburn with Darwen
Pay Rate: 34 per hour
Job Description:
Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Occupational Therapist for its clients Moving & Handling Services Team in Blackburn with Darwen. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Moving & Handling Services Team at Blackburn with Darwen Council on a locum basis. This is a vital role delivering community-based assessments and interventions to support individuals requiring moving and handling assistance while promoting independence safety and well-being.
What will your responsibilities be
- Conduct community assessmentswithin a local authority setting identifying needs and recommending equipment solutions
- Perform comprehensive moving and handling assessments ensuring safe practices and compliance with guidelines
- Collaborate with residents families and professionalsto create tailored support plans for safe mobility
- Assess and demonstrate single-handed solutionsto meet handling needs in community settings
- Maintain accurate recordsin line with professional and legal standards
- Provide demonstrations and training to care providers on safe moving and handling practices and equipment use

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have
- HCPC Registrationand relevant Occupational Therapy qualifications
- Experience within a local authority setting
- Proficiency in moving and handling assessments
- Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
