The CCTV Operator performs all tasks of a Laborer as designated in that job description. Operators will be knowledgeable in how sanitary sewer systems are constructed. Operate a CCTV Truck and be NASSCO Certified.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual laborer in a utility installation work environment.
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Safely drive a CCTV truck (Non-CDL) to and from job sites.
Perform CCTV inspection in accordance with NASSCO standards and client generated standards and specifications. This involved operating a robotically driven camera and coding pipe defects in accordance with referenced standards.
Read and interpret plans instructions and specifications to determine work activities.
Follow directions as provided by USG to complete assigned tasks.
Complete inspection logs on to client or USG generated spread sheets and software.
Set up and tear down of buy-pass pumping operation to allow for appropriate inspection of pipe within required flow tolerances.
Set-up tear down and operation of traffic control in accordance with DOT Standard operating procedures.
Manage a small crew of 2 to 6 people to perform cleaning and televising of sanitary and storm sewers.


Supervisory Responsibilities Daily assigned laborers and flush truck operators. 2 to 6 people



Qualifications To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilities required.



Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Some knowledge of proper use of equipment materials and supplies used cleaning and televising work in accordance with NASSCO Standards.
Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
Ability to lift heavy objects walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
Ability to understand follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.




Education and Experience:

Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.


Physical Skills and Abilities:

Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather heat and humidity and exposure to dust concrete and asphalt.
Must be able to lift push pull or carry objects use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump sprint or throw an object.
Requires good manual dexterity (hand hand with arm two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
Must be able to quickly move arms and legs.
Excellent stamina is required.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state drivers license prior to employment.


Working Conditions:

Noise level is generally loud.
Variety of weather conditions ranging from hot/humid to cold/wet conditions.
