Job Summary

Supports To Empower People (STEP) is hiring a House Managerto overseecommunity and residential services for adult men with intellectual and developmental as well as behavioral and mental health issues in Rhode Island. STEP provides empowering assistance in therapeutically receptive environments which allows participants to embark upon the clinical challenges encountered and to safely explore and pursue their dreams.
Compensation

The pay range for this position is $64000 to $66000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience education licensure certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

What Youll Do:
  • Responsible for overseeing the administration and planning of community-based residential and day programs for people with developmental disabilities.
  • Responsibilities include monitoring the operation of the program and implementation of all program development and planning activities.
  • Provide administrative leadership and supervision to staff to effectively organize service delivery and promote JRIs community-based programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Actively participate in STEPs Administrative Team including Administrator On-Call rotation. Creating space for active respectful conversations with a goal of problem-solving as well as advancement of the program clients and employees.
  • Implement administrative information and data collection systems that monitor all programs and provide continuous feedback on the quality and effectiveness of all services in addressing consumer needs program goals and objectives and contract and fiscal compliance.
  • Develop collaborative and effective working relationships with public and private human service agencies consumer and provider advocacy groups consumer families and other community entities in order to promote JRIs programs for individual with developmental disabilities enhance resources and where possible and appropriate expand programs and services.
  • Address challenges constructively and proactively.
  • Design systems organize resources and implement ongoing monitoring activities in a manner that insures appropriate delivery of all services and quality care in safe and healthful environments through the availability of appropriate staffing clinical administrative and technical resources and other supports.
  • Actively participates in the review and implementation of program policies and procedures.
  • Hire train schedule supervise and evaluate program staff. Ensure timely performance evaluations and consistent supervision of their work.
  • Ensure program compliance with all regulatory and quality assurance requirements with respective funding and/or authorizing agencies and governmental regulations.
  • Ensure that adequate staffing resources and emergency support and back up are available on a twenty-four hour basis to all residential and community support programs and that appropriate communication and liaison is maintained in the event of emergencies or unusual events involving programs or consumers under the care of the programs.
  • Actively participate in the development implementation and oversight of person-centered plans for the individuals supported.
  • Ensure the accurate collection cumulation and recording/entry of all data on all Person-Centered plan objectives including behavior and nursing care plans as well as services provided.
  • Ensure ongoing SSA and DHS eligibility and recertifications for all individuals supported.
  • Remain up-to-date in the field through participation in conferences seminars and professional and advocacy organizations that promote and advocate for services and programs and/or provide research and evaluation in the field.

Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Bachelors degree in the Human Service field preferred; High School Diploma is required.
  • Direct service and supervisory experience in a community residence serving adults with Intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to perform administrative functions.
  • A firm grasp of behavioral principles and an understanding of therapeutic environment.
  • Record of problem-solving ability interpersonal skills flexibility and dependability.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to independently plan and organize ones own schedule and activities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Drivers license and access to an insured inspected and registered vehicle to be used during work hours.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
