In this role you will be responsible for developing and leading a team of professionals and providing payroll and benefits administration support to GE Vernova businesses while focusing on enterprise standards compliance customer experience/satisfaction and standardization. This role will also develop solid relationships with key stakeholders to maintain operational performance through leveraging metrics and trends and identifying areas for improvement.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Payroll & Benefits operational delivery in Greater China to ensure high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained based on compliance with relevant legal country regulation and GE Vernova policy requirements
  • Drive strong performance management in the team through clear expectations priority setting frequent touchpoints and feedback
  • Foster a one team environment with your team members as you mentor and coach them to grow their impact and collaboration within the business
  • Leverage metrics to identify trends or problems to maintain and improve performance levels
  • Manage 3rd Party Payroll and Benefits Service Providers to ensure seamless compliant and high-quality Payroll & Benefit services
  • Proactively identify and drive continuous improvements within assigned processes work closely with cross functional teams to proposing process improvements to reduce waste manual work align to global standards and increase productivity
  • Work with global/local process leader other key function stakeholder/partners and vendors to manage business requirements and global initiative and ensure on time and high-quality deliverables including but not limited to M&A disposition supplier transition work placement
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in cross functional teams i.e. Tax Finance Total Rewards and the Client HR team to ensure open communications that supports an effective partnership across our HR community as well as employees and People Leaders
  • Drive GE Vernovas high standards of ethics and compliance within the team
  • Manage budget to drive continued cost effectiveness
  • Other task assigned by manager

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related Business degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Payroll and Benefits operation with related work experience in providing operational oversight for Payroll and Benefits in China mainland Hongkong and Taiwan
  • Significant prior professional work experience with demonstrated achievement in Payroll and Benefits operation and projects delivery ideally within a multinational organization with proofing experience in People leadership
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English in both verbal and written
  • Travel will be required as needed to support the team and customers within the region
  • To be successful in this role you will need to have the ability to work in a complex and rapidly changing work environment across multiple stakeholder groups and countries with comfort and efficiency

  • Experience in Lean management
  • Sound project management skills strategic thinking ability process capability and analytical skills with the ability to deliver results by supporting activities from concept to implementation
  • Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify and present the creative/collaborative solutions in partnership with action owners
  • Strong communication skills: ability to influence with immediate team and across organization
  • Ability to make independent decisions and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced multi-task and highly matrixed environment and connect effectively with business stakeholders
  • Proficiency in HR systems (ex. Workday) and related HR technologies
