BGIS is currently seeking aSenior Operations managerto join the team Hudson FL (Remote).

The Senior Installation Manager leads other managers and installation teams to complete projects at client sites in multiple states. The position champions safety and communicates regulatory requirements and BGIS policies to ensure work is completed safely with environmental impact considerations. Key objectives include auditing tracking of timely completion of commercial projects to BGIS standards and providing expertise to other install managers and training BGIS installers. The role also pro-actively communicates externally to clients and other key contacts to ensure excellent service consistently provided. The Senior Installation Managerprovides direction in a positive and professional manner exemplifying BGIS values.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

HVAC Installation Leadership

  • Partner with senior leaders and project managers to focus commercial installation activities prioritization on meeting client requirements and business goals.
  • Review overall projects execution and make recommendations to improve efficiencies and streamline internal and external communication.
  • Provide subject matter expertise feedback and coaching to other installation managers to continue elevating leadership competencies.
  • Communicate company goals policies performance expectations and policies appropriately to various audiences.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture team and senior leaders to provide potential recommendations for professional training and supports career progression for others in current role expertise or future roles.
  • Contribute to evaluation of overall skill level and technical knowledge of the commercial installation business line.
  • Continue and create connections with other key functions throughout the organization.

HVAC Installation Teams Management

  • Manage all activities related to installations for commercial clients.
  • Lead Installations team members to ensure smooth project execution including scheduling resource allocation and materials procurement and quality work.
  • Monitor progress of projects identifying potential issues and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and field technicians.
  • Foster a culture of safety quality and customer service throughout the installation teams.
  • Recruit hire train coach mentor and manage a team of skilled HVAC professionals confirming each individual has the appropriate skills to deliver exceptional service.
  • Communicate BGIS and client processes/procedures and regulatory safety health and environment requirements ensuring consistent compliance and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Share annual goals conduct performance evaluations provide feedback and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in the installation processes seeking efficiencies and economies of scale.
  • Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.

Client Service Focus

  • Represent BGIS professionally in forming and building customer relationships.
  • Establish collaborative communications with both internal customers/support teams and external clients and vendors.
  • Maintain high level of customer satisfaction through excellence in work by team members.
  • Resolve client concerns engaging additional organizational leadership as needed.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets timelines and quality standards completing reporting and preparing materials for meetings and presentations.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends codes and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize operational efficiency.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelors Degree Trade School Certification or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 9 years performing job duties in a similar role including management of projects.
  • Expert level knowledge of commercial HVAC systems equipment and installation processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to multi-task and help other managers prioritize competing priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for multiple levels in the organization with ability to build strong internal and external information flow.
  • Collaborative and professional approach of working with cross functional internal teams vendors and external clients.
  • Ability to lead team and share subject knowledge expertise to elevate overall commercial install performance levels.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to challenges with ability to teach others tactical methodologies to identify timely solutions.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook or similar software.
  • Journeyperson status and/or trade licensing preferred.

  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Current valid drivers license and ability to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office with reimbursement.
