Job Summary
IQVIA Digital is hiring a Director Software Development. The role leads a team comprising multiple engineering managers and senior-level professionals including both employees and contractors. It is accountable for developing and communicating functional strategies and objectives aligned with IQVIAs overall business strategy and operational requirements.
Essential Functions
Manages an organization of multiple managers and senior-level professionals and ensures that a consistent design deployment and maintenance process is followed for all sites and systems.
Oversees staffing and performance across both employees and contractors ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with contractual obligations.
Develops and communicates functional strategy and objectives in alignment with IQVIAs business strategy and operations requirements.
Establishes overall business strategy for the organization with significant impact on the success of company operations.
Negotiates with and influences decision-making at the senior management and executive level including cross-functional collaboration.
Provides coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports; builds and directs talent-building and development objectives for the organization.
Owns the design development deployment and maintenance of APIs that connect various Digital products and datasets.
Oversee data and engineering for core Audience data assets such as HCP data HCN data and platforms like AccessHCP and DMS.
Manages contracts and vendor relationships to ensure delivery quality cost-effectiveness and strategic alignment.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree Computer Science a related field or equivalent experience
Twelve (12) years of software development experience
Eight (8) years of management experience
Proven experience in leading global software engineering teams and delivering scalable digital solutions
Strong background in API architecture data integration and enterprise platform engineering

The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge skills education and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
