Were looking for experienced Mechanical Maintainers to join our Mobile Maintenance team at Kennecott Copper. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic safety-focused environment working on some of the largest mobile mining equipment in the industry.
As part of the Kennecott Asset Management department youll play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our heavy mobile fleet including haul trucks water trucks and auxiliary equipment such as dozers graders and excavators.
Reporting to the Supervisor Mobile Maintenance your responsibilities will include:
Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on large-scale mobile equipment
Diagnosing faults and implementing safe timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime
Operating tools and equipment safely and efficiently to complete repairs
Following all safety environmental and company procedures and standards.

What youll bring
Minimum 3 years experience working with heavy-duty diesel mechanical systems including hydraulics and electrical fundamentals
A strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Willingness and ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night)
Confidence in reading and interpreting technical manuals schematics and standard work procedures
Familiarity with diagnostic software for Cummins Komatsu and Caterpillar systems is highly desirable
Valid Drivers License

Where Youll Be Working
Our Kennecott mine is a world-class fully integrated copper mining operation located just outside Salt Lake City Utah. We produce copper precious metals including gold and silver molybdenum tellurium and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
