Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical QA/QC Inspector to support a complex schedule-driven construction project in Monks Corner South Carolina. This role focuses on quality assurance code compliance and error prevention across mechanical HVAC and piping systems on large-scale projects such as data centers airports and industrial facilities. This is not an installation role. The ideal candidate is a seasoned mechanical inspector who can operate independently identify issues before they become rework and communicate effectively with project leadership contractors and owners. Key Responsibilities Perform QA/QC inspections of mechanical HVAC and piping installations Verify compliance with applicable mechanical codes standards and approved drawings Identify installation issues early to prevent rework schedule delays and cost overruns Document inspection findings clearly and professionally Communicate observations and recommendations with general contractors owners and trade partners Support project teams by collaborating on solutions prior to field execution Serve as a trusted authority on mechanical code compliance in the field Required Qualifications Strong working knowledge of mechanical codes and standards Experience inspecting HVAC and piping systems on large or complex construction projects Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working in fast-paced schedule-driven environments Preferred Experience ICC Commercial Mechanical Inspector Certification ( A BIG PLUS ) QA/QC or special inspection experience on data centers airports or industrial/manufacturing facilities Experience working directly with owners general contractors and inspection teams Background on multi-trade high-risk construction projects
