Since we are part of a 24-hour team critical care nursing and surgical nursing skills are an asset but we are willing to expand the skills of the right candidate. We are a well-equipped facility with digital X-ray ultrasound capabilities and state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical/monitoring equipment.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Triaging patients upon arrival to the clinic and obtaining patient vitals
- Experience with placing IV catheters and nasogastric tubes monitoring patient blood pressure general critical care triage and stabilizing process.
- Obtaining relevant information and history from clients and maintaining proper medical charts.
- Assisting in treatment and diagnostic procedures.
- High-quality emergency nursing care for patients.
- Customer service and client education.

Qualifications :
Were looking for:
- An experienced and established veterinary assistant 5 years experience preferred
- Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care is ideal but not required.
- A high work ethic and positive attitude team member.
- Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely.
- Interpret medical records and record client history accurately.
- Knowledge in preventative care surgical procedures and hospital flow.
- Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner.
- Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples urine fecal and skin.
- Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests.
- Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs.
- Proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring.
- A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance ones knowledge and skillset.
- Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency.
Additional Information :
Pay Range: $15 - $22/hr depending on level of experience. We offer shift differential for nights and weekends.
