Job Summary
The Birches Academy is an STEAM and Arts Integrated Public Charter School located in Salem NH. The mission of the Birches Academy is to provide excellence in core academics and STEAM while cultivating the individual qualities and strengths of each child. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly proficient K-8 Spanish Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. This role is an opportunity to directly shape our students linguistic and cultural fluency through innovative and student-centered teaching methods. The successful candidate will be a vital contributor to a collaborative team that is deeply committed to both the academic success of our students and the successful growth of the school Qualifications and ExpectationsThe ideal candidate will possess:Proven Spanish Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching Spanish at the elementary and middle school is to Innovative Pedagogy: A dedication to exploring and implementing innovative approaches in world language education moving beyond traditional Linguistic & Cultural Proficiency: Strong proficiency in the Spanish language and the cultures of Spanish-speaking of Communicative Strategies: The ability to implement highly effective instructional strategies that demonstrably develop students communicative competence (speaking listening reading writing).Passion for Student-Centered Learning: A strong commitment to creating engaging STEAM hands-on and student-centered learning experiences that foster genuine excitement for the Team Mindset: The ability to work constructively and positively as a team player within a professional learning community. and culture effective instructional strategies for developing communicative competence and a passion for creating engaging student-centered learning experiences.
