UCT is looking for a talented Fab Onsite Tech II to join us in PhoenixAZ!

The Module-Based FAB Onsite Technician Level 2 (FOT Level 2) is a UCT employee assigned to work onsite in the Fab at Intel. This role provides technical and engineering support within the manufacturing environment ensuring data integrity and system accuracy across both Intel and UCT platforms to enable timely issue resolution and process efficiency.

This position is designed for individuals with at least 12 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. While the role requires a foundational understanding of semiconductor processes and equipment extensive on-the-job training will continue to build the technical expertise needed for advancement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing equipment/PM support in a cleanroom environment to ensure clean parts are available to perform preventive maintenance (PM) for tools. This includes but is not limited to breaking down tools packaging parts conducting leak checks assembling kits requesting kit/part pick-up for processing at UCT.
  • Assist Engineering by presenting data and/or findings to resolve Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) and Fails on Installs (FOIs)
  • Responsible for managing paperwork at customer site (chemical used/decontamination label) and communicating deposition details for part/kit shipments shipping to UCT
  • Resolve non-standard problems work with minimal supervision and can adjust to rapidly changing
  • Monitor and operate tools and equipment to ensure proper performance and process stability.
  • Record and maintain accurate data on tool parameters yields and production output.
  • Identify document and report equipment or process issues promptly and in detail.
  • Always follow strict contamination control and cleanroom protocols.
  • Log production data and maintenance activities in accordance with established procedures.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Cleanroom Experience - Working in a cleanroom environment and performing necessary tasks in accordance with cleanroom protocol.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
  • Proficiency in JMP or other statistical analysis software a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow maintenance procedures.
  • Demonstrated capability to work professionally adhere to established procedures and comply with company policies.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in electronics manufacturing or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry is highly desirable.

Experience Requirement:

  • 12 years of relevant experience; prior cleanroom or manufacturing experience a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Walk 3-5 miles and stand or sit for up to 9 hours within a shift.

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Subject to interruptions.

Environmental Exposure:

  • Work in a clean room chemical cleaning and/or other parts cleaning environments wearing a bunny suit hood booties safety glasses and gloves for the duration of shift (There may be additional safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (masks face shields etc.)
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • The ability to talk on the phone and use a computer for extended periods may be required.
  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers faxes computers etc.
