About the Role

Are you a skilled mental health professional passionate about supporting young people across the region As the Regional Senior Mental Health Clinician youll deliver high-quality evidence-based interventions within the headspace stepped care model supporting youth experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges. This role combines direct clinical work with leadership providing clinical supervision and mentorship to a multidisciplinary team delivering culturally inclusive youth-centered care.

Youll manage a diverse caseload while actively contributing to staff development training and continuous improvement to ensure services meet high standards.

Working across Warrnambool Hamilton and Portland youll be onsite 9am5pm and split your week between locations. A vehicle is provided for travel between offices and personal use outside work hours.

Do your skills include:

  • Demonstrated experience and advanced skills in delivering mental health interventions in a range of mental health settings to young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health presentations.
  • Advanced clinical skills in managing young people at risk including suicide and violence risks.
  • A broad understanding of the mental health service system in the state and national reforms and knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision and skill development including secondary consultations.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Are your credentials:

  • Current full registration with:
  • Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (APHRA) as a Psychologist Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse; or
  • Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) as a Mental Health Social Worker or Social Worker with eligibility and ability to evidence additional mental health training to obtain Mental Health Social Worker accreditation.
  • Qualifications that meet the requirements of the above credentialing bodies.
  • A current Drivers Licence.
  • Current registration as an APHRA approved supervisor for psychology internships is desirable but not essential.
