Job Duties
This is an hourly/wage position. DMV is seeking a CDL Support Technician. The CDL Program Support Tech. is a technical position within a high-volume DMV regulatory unit. The position is responsible for researching evaluating and updating CDL and driver history records to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations. The role focuses on maintaining the accuracy of driver history records and assisting in resolving duplicate pointers through the SPEXS system helping Virginia remain compliant with REAL ID requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience in high-volume data entry
Experience in customer service and complex issue resolution
Experience in regulatory or public service environments with CDL management driver history or licensing
Experience interpreting complex documents including federal and state regulations
Skilled in identifying and resolving record discrepancies for regulatory compliance
Experience in conducting research to verify and update records.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel) for data management and reporting
Additional Considerations
Familiarity with DMV systems (e.g. OnBase CSS CDLIS SPEXS)
Familiarity with FMCSA REAL ID and state regulations as they apply to driver records
