The Automotive Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the flow of automotive parts and products in and out of the facility. This role ensures accurate documentation timely shipments and proper inventory control to support smooth operations within the automotive supply chain.
JOB TITLE: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
REPORTS TO:Parts Manager
LOCATION: Cincinnati OH
SCHEDULE: Monday - 8am to 5pm and Tuesday through Friday - 6am to 5pm (No Weekends)
A SHORT LIST OF YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive incoming automotive parts and verify quantities against purchase orders.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company and carrier standards.
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries with carriers and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and update inventory systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
- Complete shipping and receiving paperwork including bills of lading and invoices.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with dealership staff and service teams.
- Address discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
WERE LOOKING FOR A SELF-STARTER WHO MEETS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or supply chain training is a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations preferably in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of automotive parts and terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Inventory systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
