Senior Photonics Design Engineer

Job Description:
As a Senior Photonics Design Engineer you will be crucial in developing active photonic switches for large-scale deployment. Youll design simulate and optimize Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) driving innovation in next-generation optical interconnects. This role offers the chance to contribute to high-performance photonic systems from concept to production collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What you will do:

Design and model passive and active silicon photonic devices and integrated systems
Prototype novel photonic components design test structures and validate experimental results
Partner with manufacturing teams to optimise and transition designs into volume production

The ideal candidate:

Masters degree in physics photonics electrical or optical engineering with 5 years of experience
Strong understanding of waveguide optics integrated photonic devices and semiconductor physics
Experience in modelling and simulating integrated photonic devices using commercial software
