The Opportunity

As the Risk & Policy Advisor youll champion a robust risk culture across Infinite Aged Care guiding leaders shaping effective policies and ensuring risks are identified understood and well managed. Your work will strengthen compliance support operational teams and help safeguard the wellbeing of residents and staff.

In summary this position will:

  • Lead and enhance the organisations Risk Management Framework including monitoring risks supporting incident reviews and maintaining the Enterprise Risk Register.
  • Provide expert risk management advice to operational leaders and escalate significant risks to senior management.
  • Develop review and update organisational policies and procedures in line with legislation standards and best practice.
  • Coordinate the Policy Review Committee and ensure complex regulatory information is translated into clear accessible documents.
  • Support quality compliance and continuous improvement activities including audits accreditation and regulatory reviews.
  • Ensure policies and processes meet Aged Care NDIS WHS and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with organisational and legislative obligations.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support risk quality and compliance initiatives.

About You

  • 35 years experience in residential aged care in a policy development or risk role (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and compliance frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory reform and sector changes within the Australian Aged Care environment.
  • Strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation standards and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven competence in technical writing and document management.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with clinical information systems incident management platforms and Microsoft Office applications (desirable).
