Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Director of Volcano Bay is responsible for the overall strategic direction and day-to-day operation of the water theme park. This role serves as the parks key management representative ensuring the highest standards of Team Member experience Guest service safety and financial performance. Were seeking a people-first safety-driven and guest-obsessed leader who will shape the future of Volcano Bay by setting the tone for excellence across the entire water park experience. The Senior Director will provide collaborative business-savvy leadership; build trust across teams; balance short- and long-term priorities; and champion the values that make UDX an exceptional place to work.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and lead the long-term strategic direction for all aspects of Volcano Bay ensuring alignment across operations guest experience food & beverage retail and safety. Collaborate across UDX to support resort-wide goals and build a high-performing inclusive leadership team that embraces coaching communication accountability and continuous improvement. Leverage guest insights operational data and market trends to guide future development and serve as a key partner for new attraction planning and execution which includes partnering with the Marketing & Sales team on special events website updates and targeting communications.
  • Serve as the senior on-site leader overseeing day-to-day operations. Drive performance by integrating service standards operational efficiency and safety protocols across every department while making sound decisions that support team member well-being and guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee P&L performance with a focus on responsible growth thoughtful resource allocation and disciplined cost management. Optimize labor materials and capital investment to support operational excellence and financial sustainability.
  • Ensure a safe inclusive and enjoyable environment for guests and team members with a dedicated focus on water safety attraction safety and overall risk mitigation throughout the park.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10 years of proven leadership experience leading large dynamic teams in a complex frequently changing and multi-disciplined hospitality environment.
  • Theme Park operational experience with attractions systems preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Strong business acumen. Keen focus on P&L levers resourceful and creative in achieving financial metrics.
  • Experience in theme park or hospitality industry management in a senior leadership role with proven outcomes managing multiple disciplines including: operations ticketing maintenance food/retail safety events among others.
  • Experience supporting and integrating a culture of exceptional standards of Guest service across multiple hospitality activities.
  • Experience evaluating and analyzing Guest feedback and trends driving innovations based on this feedback and assessing the competitive market for on-going or future development.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills organizational and project management skills with strong ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience supporting and integrating a culture of both employee and Guest safety.
