Operating in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne this ultra-modern contract-testing laboratory is seeking a casual Scientific Officer with sound organisational skills for an immediate start.
Accredited with the TGA and APVMA the high-tech facilities encompass a broad range of analytical equipment primarily used in the Pharmaceutical Veterinary and Bioanalytical sectors.
The successful candidates will be self-motivated and capable of hitting the ground running in a fast-paced friendly environment ready to provide support and practical knowledge to a dedicated team of like-minded professionals.
Candidates must be familiar with GMP and possess the ability to manage the day to day running of sample receipt in a busy contract testing laboratory. The position relies heavily on excellent communication / client liaison skills sound scientific and organizational skills with required experience in LIMS and other software packages.
The Scientific Officer duties include sample receipt logging samples into eLims client and lab staff liaison review and registration of incoming chemicals and materials facility and equipment maintenance and calibrations cleaning and other QC laboratory support including disposal of completed samples. Experience in small equipment calibrations (ie Balances Pipettes) will be highly regarded as well as exceptional customer service skills.
Qualifications :
At a minimum a TAFE certificate in Chemistry Analytical Science or a related discipline is essential as well as at least some demonstrable experience working within the industry in a fast paced environment.
