Mō te tūnga About the role
As a Senior Advisor Compliance and Support you will be involved in all aspects of the Compliance and Support team functions. You will lead compliance monitoring activities and provide specialised support for housing outcomes and contracts. You will ensure providers meet their obligations particularly regarding property standards health and safety requirements and incident management. You will develop and implement frameworks and tools to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
Candidates with experience in corporate training auditing or property compliance administration will be at an advantage.
You will also have an internal focus to identify lead and support initiatives that improve capability efficiency compliance and risk management in relation to contracting and providers.
Two major focus areas of the team include:
Training and capability building: Identifying training opportunities predominantly for external providers as it relates to their contractual obligations and use of the systems they use to interface with MSD and HUD.
Property compliance administration: Ensuring properties managed by providers meet the required property safety and compliance requirements including Building Warrant of Fitness Healthy Homes and FENZ evacuation scheme regulations. This will be an administrative function to ensure HUD has assurance that providers are meeting their obligations and maintaining HUD records for property compliance across a portfolio of about 80000 properties.
There might be a requirement to travel domestically from time to time to visit housing providers and properties.
This includes:
Lead property compliance monitoring activities that might require collating and reviewing documentation site visits desktop monitoring and reporting
Manage provider incident and complaint reporting and resolution processes
Develop and implement assurance programmes that include risks and health & safety compliance
Develop coordinate and deliver provider training focused on HUD contract requirements systems and operational processes
Develop and maintain compliance frameworks tools and guidelines
Work with others internally and externally to ensure the Ministry meets its legislative requirements
Lead HUD communication to providers when bulk messaging needs to be delivered
Lead and support internal improvement projects by analysing existing processes collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation
The salary range for this role is $105780 - $% KiwiSaver contribution.
