The University of Chicagos Department of Surgery Section of Cardiac Surgery seeks Clinical Associates at full-time effort for renewable terms of up to three years. Clinical responsibilities will include primarily operating with the lead robotic surgeon and robotic cardiac team. Appointees will also be expected to take independent call for the Section and to possibly support offsite community practices such as Northwest Indiana. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation is dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana 3) be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery or equivalent and 4) have completed an ACGME accredited fellowship and/or equivalent training in cardiovascular/thoracic (CVT) surgery.
