Job Summary
Greenberg Traurig (GT) a global law firm currently has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Patent Agent/Patent Associate in our Intellectual Property Practice Group in our Austin TX office. Job Requirements:
This position will support the IP Practice working on the strategic development procurement and counseling of patent portfolios. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of focused experience in the following areas:
Drafting patent applications in the computer arts (e.g. software AI/ML/LLMs FinTech web applications telecommunications integrated circuits etc.)
Prosecuting patent applications
Candidates should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office. Candidates with a degree or an advanced degree in electrical engineering computer engineering and/or computer science are preferred although candidates with degrees in mechanical engineering or other relevant experience will also be considered. Strong experience drafting complex software patent applications is a plus. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials be comfortable working directly with clients and possess strong writing and analytical skills.
