German-Speaking Specialist - Medical Devices (Porto Portugal On-Site)

We are looking for an experienced German-speaking Senior Order-to-Cash (O2C) Specialist to join a leading global medical-devices company specialising in diabetes care based in Porto Portugal. What the job is about
In this senior role you will:

• Take ownership of the full Order-to-Cash process for German-speaking markets: order validation billing collections cash application and dispute resolution.
• Lead and mentor a team of O2C professionals oversee KPIs like Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and ensure collections targets are met.
• Handle complex cases and escalations negotiate payment terms with customers and manage high-impact internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with audit SOX/internal control requirements IFRS and tax regulations.
• Drive process improvement standardisation and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency in the O2C workflow.
• Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities reconciliations and financial reporting to senior management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Logistics Treasury Tax and Finance teams to align on processes and data.

Requirements
Were looking for someone who:

• Holds a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field.
• Has 5-7 years of experience in O2C Accounts Receivable or finance operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Possesses deep knowledge of O2C processes financial controls and compliance frameworks.

• Is fluent in German (C1) and has strong English communication skills.

• Has solid analytical negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.

• Has experience with ERP systems (such as SAP Oracle NetSuite or Workday) and advanced MS Excel/reporting capabilities.
• Is ready to work on-site in Porto with a Monday-to-Friday schedule and active involvement in a fast-moving global business.
