Electrical Technician

The Electrical Technician is responsible for coordination and performance of electrical repairs and maintenance services as directed by the customer. This role supports Customer Managers during all electrical activities and ensures all work maintains redundancy safety code compliance and operational integrity. The Electrical Technician reviews all MOPs scopes of work and system feeds verifies equipment readiness and ensures systems are restored to normal operation following maintenance or project activities. The Electrical Technician shall coordinate process and document all required NETA testing and IR scanning.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Customer Managers during all scheduled and unscheduled electrical activities.
• Review Methods of Procedure (MOPs) scopes of work and system documentation to ensure redundancy and proper electrical paths of travel.
• Verify all critical equipment is secured backed up and tested prior to any electrical work.
• Perform onsite electrical tasks assigned by the Customer representative or Customer Service Manager.
• Ensure all electrical systems are returned to normal operation after maintenance or testing.
• Inspect wiring feeds switchgear distribution panels and related critical infrastructure.
• Maintain clean accurate documentation of work performed and equipment status.
• Respond to issues as they arise diagnosing electrical faults quickly and correctly.
• Adhere to all applicable state federal and industry safety requirements including NFPA 70E NEC/CEC and OSHA standards.
• Coordinate process and document all NETA testing activities
• Coordinate process and document all IR scanning activities

Knowledge & Skills:

• California Electrical License required and must be maintained in good standing.
• Trade school certification or verifiable training in a relevant electrical field.
• 35 years of journeymanlevel experience in similar electrical work.
• Preferred experience in missioncritical environments such as data centers hospitals or power generation facilities.
• Strong understanding of redundancy electrical distribution and criticalsystem operation.
• Ability to learn quickly adapt to changing conditions and resolve issues promptly.
• Ability to read and interpret onelines schematics and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with Customer Managers.
• Experience in NETA testing and IR scanning
• Proficiency in business environment software applications

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Physical ability to walk jobsites in uneven terrain.
• Must have valid drivers license and good driving record.
• Ability to work at heights and from ladders.
• Ability to regularly walk use hands and fingers handle or feel reach with hands and arms stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Respond to off hour emergency calls

The salary range for this exempt position in the US is $55/hr - $60/hr.

A candidates salary offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to relevant work experience knowledge skills abilities education certifications licenses and location.
