Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Physical Therapy Assistant at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center your primary role will be to assist patients in need of treatment in their recovery and this position you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans aid patients with exercises monitor their progress and document their outcomes. Providing compassionate care excellent customer service and maintaining a safe and clean environment are essential expectations for this role. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills experience with electronic medical records knowledge of anatomy and physiology and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist you will implement and follow the plan of care.
- Consults with other health care disciplines to coordinate therapeutic programs and assist with discharge planning for individual patients.
- Instructs patients and caregivers in home program exercises and functional activities.
- Assists with patient program management while delivering quality patient services.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited therapy program.
- Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Arizona.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred:
- One year of acute care experience as a PTA.
