Job Summary
Responsible for loading horses into the starting gates prior to races. Assist with scheduling and supervising the schooling of horses.
Load horses into the starting gates.
Assist with scheduling & supervising of schooling of horses.
Assist with listing of horses that are unruly in the starting gates; help to ensure they are schooled before they
race again.
Qualifications :
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Prior experience in a similar position preferred.
Must be a skilled horse handler.
Must be able to work with horsemen and give directions.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be physically agile and able to stand and walk climb reach lift bend and work outside in various weather
conditions.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications
