Trimmer- Plastic Injection Molding- 3rd Shift

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trimmer for our 3rd shift in plastic injection molding operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for trimming finishing and inspecting plastic parts to ensure they meet quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes mechanical knowledge and proficiency with various tools and measurement instruments. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on precision manufacturing and quality assurance. Shift premium of .75 after training will be added.

Duties

  • Trim excess material from plastic injection molded parts using hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
  • Perform quality inspections to verify dimensions and surface finish according to specifications
  • Operate fabrication equipment including press brake machines CNC lathes CNC machines and plastics extrusion machinery as needed
  • Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment ensuring proper materials handling and storage
  • Assist with assembly processes when required ensuring parts are correctly assembled according to specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area to adhere to safety and quality standards
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying areas for process improvement and waste reduction

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to plastics blow molding plastics injection molding and fabrication processes
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely within the warehouse environment
  • Proficiency in using hand tools precision measuring instruments (micrometers calipers) and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Familiarity with quality inspection procedures and standards in manufacturing settings
  • Knowledge of plastics extrusion blow molding machining and assembly techniques
  • Experience with CNC machinery and press brake machines is desirable
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction
  • Warehouse experience including materials handling is beneficial
