**Job Summary:**
The Shift Manager at the roller rink assists in managing and supervising daily operations to create a positive experience for customers and ensure the facilitys smooth functioning. They work closely with the Roller Rink Manager.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist in training roller rink staff members.
- Schedule and assign duties to staff including floor monitors skate rental attendants and snack bar employees.
- Provide guidance support and feedback to staff ensuring they meet performance expectations.
- Monitor staff performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Greet and assist customers addressing inquiries and resolving issues or complaints.
- Ensure party and events are running smoothly and support where needed.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle customer feedback and suggestions and report them to the manager for consideration.
- **Operations Management:**
- Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the roller rink including admissions skate rentals and snack bar services.
- Ensure events and party activity are running smoothly and are running on time.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for skates safety equipment and concession supplies.
- Collaborate with the manager to implement operational improvements and cost-effective practices.
- **Safety and Compliance:**
- Enforce safety rules and regulations to maintain a secure environment for all patrons.
- Assist in conducting safety inspections and ensuring all safety equipment is in good working condition.
- Help develop and implement emergency procedures and train staff accordingly.
- **Marketing and Promotion:**
- Assist with marketing efforts including promoting special events parties and group bookings.
- Gather customer feedback and insights to refine marketing strategies.
- **Maintenance and Repairs:**
- Oversee routine maintenance tasks and ensure the facility is clean safe and well-maintained.
- Coordinate equipment repairs or maintenance with appropriate vendors or technicians.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for special events or parties.
- **Managerial Support:**
- Support the Roller Rink Manager in decision-making policy implementation and long-term planning.
**Qualifications:**
- At least 1 year of Management Experience
- Previous experience in a roller rink restaurant or similar facility is a plus.
- Bilingual is a plus
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of roller skating safety procedures and roller rink operations.
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as roller rinks typically have peak hours during these times.
