Work Schedule:
Full-time 100% FTE day shift. Hours will typically fall Monday Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. You will work at University Hospital in Madison WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Simulation Specialist to:
- Serve as simulator operator by programming testing and running simulation scenarios with faculty instructors ensuring that the facility and equipment are set up for teaching events.
- Serve in the role of Embedded Standardized Participant in simulation scenarios as appropriate.
- Collaborate in event and scenario planning meetings to provide technical expertise on capabilities and limitations of equipment and facilities to meet course needs.
- Work collaboratively with faculty simulationists simulation center staff and other clients to coordinate implement and evaluate simulation-based education events for the Simulation Center.
- Serve as primary contact with equipment manufacturers regarding equipment troubleshooting and systems problem; maintain record of repairs.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering Healthcare Technology Engineering Communications or related field Required
Work Experience
- 1 year working in Healthcare Technology Engineering or Communications related field Required
- 2 years experience in the related field. Preferred
- Experience in patient simulation services technologies and applications Preferred
- Experience in healthcare and physiology Preferred
- Experience in audio/video equipment and software for recording duplication mixing and editing Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Simulation Certification from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (CHSOS CHSE) Preferred
- Laerdal Advanced Care and Maintenance Certifications Preferred
