We are seeking a Simulation Specialist to:

  • Serve as simulator operator by programming testing and running simulation scenarios with faculty instructors ensuring that the facility and equipment are set up for teaching events.
  • Serve in the role of Embedded Standardized Participant in simulation scenarios as appropriate.
  • Collaborate in event and scenario planning meetings to provide technical expertise on capabilities and limitations of equipment and facilities to meet course needs.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty simulationists simulation center staff and other clients to coordinate implement and evaluate simulation-based education events for the Simulation Center.
  • Serve as primary contact with equipment manufacturers regarding equipment troubleshooting and systems problem; maintain record of repairs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering Healthcare Technology Engineering Communications or related field Required
Work Experience
  • 1 year working in Healthcare Technology Engineering or Communications related field Required
  • 2 years experience in the related field. Preferred
  • Experience in patient simulation services technologies and applications Preferred
  • Experience in healthcare and physiology Preferred
  • Experience in audio/video equipment and software for recording duplication mixing and editing Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Simulation Certification from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (CHSOS CHSE) Preferred
  • Laerdal Advanced Care and Maintenance Certifications Preferred
