Position Information:The Referral Specialist works with a variety of clinics and hospitals to coordinate referrals and appointments with specialty providers.
Responsible to the Patient Access Supervisor
Days:Monday through Friday
Hours: 8 am to 5 pm
Pay Range: Dependent upon experience.
What youll do:
- Coordinate communications between patients and medical staff.
- Direct referrals obtain appointments and medical records.
- Strict adherence to HIPAA PHI and confidentiality.
- Complete other duties as assigned
What you bring to the table:
- Required - High School Diploma/GED
Preferred - Medical terminology and 2 years related clerical experience in health care setting - Customer and personal service to include meeting needs assess and resolve issues meet quality standards for services and evaluate satisfaction
- Ability to maintain good working relationship with all personnel
- Ability to communicate clearly

Requires sitting at a desk while answering the telephone placing phone calls and scheduling appointments on a computer.
