The Sterilizing Educator reflects the mission vision and values of Northwestern Medicine (NM) adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program and complies with all relevant policies procedures guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assists department manager with day-to-day operations.
- Responsibilities include the coordination of workload educates/trains staff and problem solving.
- Responsible for decontamination cleaning processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department.
- Works closely with leadership staff within Perioperative Services.
Qualifications :
Required:
- Previous hospital sterilizing department experience or equivalent
- 3 year experience in Central Sterilizing department
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- 2 years experience educating/training skills.
- CERT SPDT
