We are looking for a caring energetic and motivated individual to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in our day program. This role involves engaging clients in meaningful activities encouraging independence and creating a fun supportive environment each day.
Pick up and drop off clients at the start and end of the program day.
Spend time with clients build positive relationships and support social engagement.
Lead and participate in crafts games and creative activities.
Accompany and supervise clients on community outings events and day trips.
Support clients in learning and improving daily living skills such as cooking laundry cleaning and organizing to promote independence.
Oversee group activities and ensure a safe inclusive environment.
Take clients to scheduled medical appointments when needed.
Keep clients motivated engaged and active throughout the day.
Assist with basic health-related tasks (training provided) as applicable for specific clients.
Compassionate patient and genuinely enjoys working with individuals with disabilities.
Creative and enthusiastic about activities crafts and community outings.
Reliable and responsible with strong communication skills.
Able to encourage independence while providing needed support.
Comfortable supervising small groups and maintaining a positive structured environment.
Willing to learn and complete all required training.
Valid drivers license and a clean driving record that meets company insurance requirements in order to drive company vehicles.
Ability to lift assist or support clients as needed.
Must pass background checks and complete required safety and caregiver training.
