The Regulatory Support Associate plays a key role in supporting the regulatory and technical functions by ensuring accurate and timely management of regulatory data and documentation. This position involves coordinating admistrative functions of the regulatory and technical programs for the Cosmetics & Hygiene team including ingredient searching formatting and sending departmental reports maintaining internal trackers for reporting and invoicing and reviewing documentation for compliance with retailer programs.
Specific Responsibilities
- At all times comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
- Conduct ingredient searches and assessments using Cosmedesk and other relevant databases to support product compliance evaluations.
- Secure and return reports back to Regulatory Affairs Associate for issuance. Make reporting edits as requested.
- Transpose data from Quality Management Program laboratory reports into S4RB formats.
- Upload reports into SGS Smart or other systems as required.
- Review product documentation and submissions for retailer programs to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with internal teams or clients to gather missing or updated documentation.
- Update and manage departmental tracking systems
- Update and maintain trackers for regulatory reporting and invoicing ensuring data is current organized and accessible.
- Collaborate with regulatory and client service teams to ensure timelines and deliverables are met both internally and for clients and sponsors.
- Provide administrative and operational support for ongoing regulatory projects.
- Other duties or tasks assigned by manager or supervisor
- Ensures work area in GBS is always kept clean and presentable.
- Remains familiar with SGS quality assurance procedures.
- Complies to all SGS health and safety and HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
Profile
- Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline such as chemistry microbiology or equivalent technical or professional qualification (Required)
- Minimum 1 years of relevant experience (Required)
- For C&H: Knowledge/experience in the cosmetics personal care and/or home care sector (Preferred)
- Regulatory knowledge/experience desirable (Preferred)
- Knowledge or understanding of sensory testing preferred but not required (Preferred)
Required Skils
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English B2 o C1
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proficient in effectively prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Capacity to work independently manage time effectively and multitask.
- Strong attention to detail organizational skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
