Summary

The Foreman as the Company field point of contact over self-performed field labor activities is responsible for ensuring that each and every project undertaken is safely completed on-time and under the budgeted cost estimate while meeting management and customer objectives for safety quality and schedule. The Foreman performs production work with the ability to lead direct and train Greystone craft personnel. To carry out these responsibilities on a daily basis the Foreman is to produce and utilize management tools such as (but not limited to) time cards daily reports safety inspections and quality control inspections.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership / Management

  • Take complete and total charge of the day-to-day of production field operations for the project while meeting management and customer objectives for safety quality and schedule.
  • Coordinates with Greystone Office to ensure that the appropriate staff equipment and materials are on hand to safely complete quality work on-time according to customer
  • Enforce all Company safety policies OSHA policies and other applicable safety Hold tool box safety meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for efficient utilization of labor equipment materials & other
  • Ensure production activities are optimized to project safety schedule cost effectiveness ease of operations and profits.
  • Coordinate the efforts of Greystone craft personnel to ensure work complies with standards and meets contract requirements.
  • Ensure all assigned equipment is operational maintained and in good working
  • Understand project scope and estimated labor hours to manage completion of project within
  • High degree of ingenuity and creativeness related to field
  • Attend pre-install or other applicable
  • Conduct team meetings to provide clear communication between all team members and assign tasks and responsibility of completion.
  • Work with government authorities in obtaining all necessary project inspections and occupancy
  • Document and coordinate with Greystone Office for any project changes that may affect schedule design scope or cost.
  • Maintain jobsite
  • Manage the project closeout and punchlist
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by

Relationship Management

  • Must be able to work professionally with clients vendors employees and
  • Maintain relationships with neighboring
  • Build long lasting relationships with customers and subcontractors that are built upon trust and delivering results.

Technology

  • Utilize appropriate business software and forms including construction management software time management software and electronic communications.

Technical

  • Able to manage and high degree of competency in particular trade being
  • Ability to prepare and communicate pre-task
  • Must be able to understand and communicate plans specifications and shop
  • Must understand current construction means methods and procedures and be able to direct crew to perform to these standards.
  • Must be capable of layout using standard industry
  • Must have understanding of basic building
  • Work to improve personal technical and supervisory skills through continuing education training or participation in professional organizations.

  • Promote Company through professional attitude and


Qualifications

  • Five (5) years experience with a general contractor who self performs concrete masonry carpentry or pre-engineered building construction.
  • Required: OSHA 10 and first aid; preferred: OSHA
  • Preferred: 2 year Associate degree in Construction
  • Must have direct supervisory skills and experience with managing construction The direct supervisory skills include training assigning onsite labor providing safety/OSHA instruction performing cost control procedures and maintaining all necessary supporting documentation of the aforementioned activities.
  • Able to apply sound judgment and problem solving
  • Aptitude for building excellent relationships with internal and external
  • Aptitude for verbal written and math
  • High level of motivation integrity and commitment to team and
  • Strong work ethic decisive ambitious with an unwavering commitment to quality and professional work. Must maintain regular and reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company including the ability to work overtime holidays evenings or weekends as
  • Ability to travel to job sites as
  • Must have a valid drivers license and ability to drive DOT company

Working Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Sitting standing walking un-even surfaces climbing and lifting up to 50
  • Must be capable of working on job sites where temperatures and noise level can fluctuate and the ability to see hear and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients as needed.
  • Must have near visual acuity to review written
  • Ability to wear job required Personal Protective
