Job Summary

Commercial Banking / Real Estate Paralegal
Location: Vancouver BC
Salary: $95000$140000 (commensurate with experience)

About the Opportunity

Our client is currently looking for a full-time permanentsenior Banking Paralegal. They offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package including:

Responsibilities and Experience in:

Real estate financing work for both lender and borrower clients including preparation of mortgages and related security documents coordinating loan closings and filing of security documents at the Land Title Office
Review of contracts commitment letters security documentation
Experience with and knowledge of the following is a definite asset but not necessary:
- commercial real estate acquisitions and sales including preparation and management of closing agenda and closing documentation as well as preparation of closing document books
- Land assembly and subdivision work including preparation of Section 219 covenants easements rights of way and undertaking letters and complex registrations at the Land Title Office
- Preparation of information packages and bulk closing of development units.
- Reviewing and understanding purchase and sales contracts
- Liaising closely with strata property managers and developers on strata project closings
- Communicating with sales centers purchasers solicitors clients realtors and others.
- Familiarity with LOTA and PTT reporting requirements

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in Paralegal Studies or equivalent work experience with banking/commercial real estate procedures
Minimum 3 to 5 years experienceas a banking paralegal or commercial real estate paralegal doing banking/finance work
Ability to establish priorities work independently and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision
Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
Good computer knowledge with common real estate related programs along with sound knowledge of my LTSA Microsoft Word Excel and Adobe.
